To provide high-quality, immediate open access to research, the International Journal of Business and Management Sciences (IJBMS) charges a nominal Article Publication Charge (APC) of $200 USD upon the acceptance of a manuscript.

Why do we have publication charges?

Unlike traditional journals that charge readers or institutions for subscriptions, IJBMS is an Open Access journal. This means:

  • Global Access: Your research is free to read for everyone, everywhere, immediately upon publication.
  • Author Ownership: Authors retain the copyright to their work under the Creative Commons License.
  • Sustainability: As a mid-level independent journal, these fees allow us to operate without a paywall while maintaining rigorous academic standards.

What do these charges cover?

The $200 USD fee is strictly used to cover the costs associated with the publishing lifecycle:

  • Editorial Management: Managing the peer-review process and editorial software.
  • Technical Processing: Professional typesetting, formatting, and conversion to XML/PDF formats.
  • Digital Preservation: Archiving in international databases and ensuring your DOI (Digital Object Identifier) remains permanent.
  • Web Maintenance: Hosting and maintaining a secure, high-speed online platform for global visibility.
  • Plagiarism Detection: Routine screening through industry-standard software (Turnitin).

Fee Waiver Policy

At IJBMS, we believe that financial constraints should never be a barrier to scientific contribution. We offer a robust waiver program:

  1. Low-Income Countries: Authors from countries classified as low-income by the World Bank are eligible for a 100% waiver.
  2. Special Hardship: PhD students and independent researchers with no institutional funding can apply for a partial waiver (up to 50%).
