Aim of the Journal

The International Journal of Language, Literature and Culture (IJLLC) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research at the intersection of linguistic studies, literary analysis, and cultural discourses.

The primary aim of IJLLC is to provide an international platform for academicians, researchers, linguists, and cultural critics to share breakthrough research, theoretical advancements, and innovative pedagogical practices. The journal seeks to foster a deeper understanding of how the English language and its varied literatures shape, and are shaped by, global and local cultures.

Scope of the Journal

To maintain a comprehensive and broad approach, the journal welcomes interdisciplinary submissions, empirical research, critical essays, and theoretical studies across a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:

1. English Language & Linguistics

  • Theoretical & Applied Linguistics: Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, and Pragmatics.
  • Language Teaching & Pedagogy: English Language Teaching (ELT), Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language (TESL/TEFL), and curriculum development.
  • Sociolinguistics & Psycholinguistics: Language and identity, dialectology, bilingualism, and cognitive approaches to language.

  • Comparative & Translated Literature: Studies involving cross-cultural literary texts and translation studies into English.

3. Cultural Studies

  • Global & Diaspora Cultures: Identity studies, multiculturalism, migration literature, and transnational cultural flows.
  • Media, Film & Visual Culture: Analysis of cinema, digital media, pop culture, adaptation studies (literature to film), and folklore.
  • Gender and Identity Studies: Representation of gender, race, class, and ethnicity in texts and social practices.
  • Historical & Societal Intersections: The evolution of cultural practices, colonial/post-colonial impacts, and environmental humanities.
